METRO= GOLD RUSH JEANS / ORGANIC SELVEDGE INDIGO

THE STORY:


Our GOLD RUSH JEANS were inspired by the natty threads of those intrepid souls who rushed to the California gold fields in 1849 in the hope of making it big. These are straight up and down, our baggiest fit jeans to date, a homage to those tough souls who dragged gold out of the earth with their bare hands. Here’s to handmade.

This batch is cut in organic selvedge denim that arrives crisp, almost cardboard like in the hand, yet light and easy to wear. Structured, not stiff.

The natural indigo starts slightly muted, almost grey. After the first wash it settles into a deeper blue and continues to shift with wear.

Wash sparingly. The less you interfere, the better they age. The fade comes from use, not from us.

FABRIC:


100% organic cotton selvedge denim.

These jeans will bleed a little blue dye in the beginning, so be careful with white tees or heaven forbid white leather couches. We recommend refraining from washing them for as long as possible.

The fading will be best if worn for a long time before the first wash.

FINISH & FIT:


Wide waistband with internal drawstring at the back for adjustment. Belt loops and back hanging loop.

Straight, modestly baggy leg with our signature knee detail for movement.

Bound front pockets with cash pocket on the left and internal phone pocket on the right. Generous back patch pockets.

Double waistband closure with button fly. METRO= antique copper jean buttons.
